Legalized Marijuana

Marijuana/Grass/Hashish/Cannabis
Different names, same product. Collectively put under the name "dope/drugs". Stuff we are told from childhood to stay away from. Stuff tht is supposed to be the worst of all addictions.
But is it ?
Marijuana/Cannabis is not addictive (atleast not as addictive as cigarettes or alcohol or even coffee & tea)
Marijuana/Cannabis is much less harmful to human body in the long term as compared to cigarettes or alcohol
Ppl under the effect of marijuana tend to become docile while well, I guess we all have seen the effects of alcohol

Neway this post is not about publicizing marijuana. These are just some of the arguments in the favour of legalizing marijuana from lobbyists in the US. This got me thinking. What if marijuana was legalized. I mean what if you could just walk into a Big Bazaar or Food World and buy a packet of marijuana ? (Dream Sequence involving various scenarios begins)

For one, it would help the Government earn a hell lot of tax revenue. Which means ministers getting richer & fatter & more money to waste in useless projects.

Instead of alcohol, ppl would move to marijuana. Which means less road accidents (well, ppl under the influence of marijuana dont even feel like moving, let alone drive), less household violence, less rowdy ppl & yes, less ppl treating roadsides as their bathrooms.

And believe it or not. Marijuana helps open up ur thinking process. Ideas start flowing (tht's till u dnt get too high), ppl open up easily.

Above all, more ppl would be able to listen to Pink Floyd the way its meant to be heard. Its not called Psychedelic Rock just bcoz they cudnt find ne other name for tht genre

Well there r a few more advantages but that's for some other time.

So lets dream abt the day when we can walk into a Big Bazaar or go to the friendly neighbourhood "paan ki dukaan" & buy a packet of marijuana along with a packet of smokes without worrying abt the police. Amen
